A night run by and for dedicated ravers; Illusion is a reaction against commercial interpretations of the underground music scene. Disclosing the most talented up and coming DJs in the industry, Illusion is based around a community of like minded people with a passion for underground music. With strong residents and even stronger guests to come, the well thought out party is making waves.

  • SM ONE: Formally known as Sonny James, is a 22 year old Tech House and Techno DJ / Producer who is originally from Leicester but now applies his trade in Manchester. Since the start, SM has always aimed to keep his music true to the Tech House genre that his resides in, while also making it unique enough to standout from the crowd, and with support from Solardo, Detlef, Mark Jenkyns, Jey Kurmis & Vibe Killers to name a few, it appears he is doing this to some degree of success! In March his production 'Say What Again' was made Data Transmissions single of the week and over the past 12 months he has released on Sola Records, Whartone Records, Killer Vibe Records and Cutting Edge Material, with more in the pipeline before the years end! Over the 24 months, SM ONE has also regularly playing at venues all across the country and a selection of dates in Europe too, alongside many of the industry's biggest names including Skream, Route 94, Secondcity, Max Chapman, Leftwing & Kody, Darius Syrossian, Doorly, Botan and more. With this project still being in its early years, you can be sure to see more coming from this artist in the future!
  • THIS & THAT: First appearing B2B on Groove London's radio station 'The WorkHOUSE' in November 2016, getting on the decks together has always felt natural for these two. Starting off DJing from the party-to-party, in March 2017 Borna and Lewis swiftly established a duo and created their name: This & That. They began playing their home town of Darlington and have since featured on a number of lineups throughout the North East. Always being keen to throw a party, they quickly secured their first event 'Underground Sessions' held in a cellar underneath one of Darlington's busiest restaurants. They quickly outgrew this and moved to the nightclub scene with the launch of 'Illusion'. Having featured lineups alongside: Riva Starr, Camelphat, Sidney Charles, Latmun, Mihalis Safras, Bontan, Rich Wakley, Leftwing & Kody, Jacky, Truth Be Told, Lee Walker and Andy Lee for events such as: Reverb, Ruckus, Solar Knights, Sound Navigation and Concept. Their passion for underground house and techno is demonstrated through the enthusiasm they bring to the crowd.
  • JAKE WHARTON: Music has always been a huge part in Jake's life as he got into the house and techno scene from a very young age. A passion for this style of music led for him to go on and produce some of his own tracks and warm up for DJs such as Marshal Jefferson. The aspiring DJ and producer started off playing Mr Hutton's Bar at the start of the year and has now gone onto working with the team at The Keys to create 'Illusion'.
  • TRIPLE B: Triple B are an up and coming duo, made up of two local lads known well throughout the town. Starting off playing around on a controller in their bedroom and they are now putting their self taught knowledge to use on the terrace at Avalon and now once again at 'Illusion'. Mainly playing sets at hour parties and getting behind the decks every and any chance they get. They have a real love for music and you can guarentee if they're not behind the decks they'll be at the front of the dance floor showing their support. This pair are more than capable of getting the crowd going and putting on a show to please anyone with the same passion for house and techno and are sure to impress once again as they previously did on Boxing Day!
